Marina T., a resident of Arvada, Colorado, won $1,000 in the Mega Millions lottery after checking her ticket before going to bed. She bought her Quick Pick ticket at the KUM & GO MAV convenience store located at 7995 Sheridan Blvd in Arvada while purchasing a soda slushy. Marina works at Cabela’s and mentioned that Mega Millions and Powerball are her preferred lottery games. This recent win marks her largest prize from the Colorado Lottery so far.

“Congratulations, Marina—a simple ticket check made for a great end to the day!” stated the announcement.

Marina’s experience highlights how routine purchases can sometimes lead to unexpected winnings with state-run lottery games.
