Motorists using US Highway 160 between Home Depot and downtown Durango are advised to expect delays on October 21 and 22 due to scheduled bridge inspections. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will implement lane shifts and closures along Camino Del Rio to ensure worker safety while inspecting several bridges in the area.

According to CDOT, these measures are necessary for routine maintenance and inspection activities that help keep the infrastructure safe for public use. Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time when passing through this corridor during the inspection period.

“Lane shifts and lane closures will be in place to allow for bridge inspections and worker safety at multiple bridges along Camino Del Rio,” stated CDOT.

These inspections are part of ongoing efforts by transportation authorities to maintain road safety standards across southwest Colorado.
