The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is organizing a public open house to discuss proposed improvements to Interstate 25 between the US 36/I-270 interchange and 104th Avenue. This section of highway has experienced a steady rise in crashes since 2012, prompting CDOT to consider options for enhancing safety and traffic flow.
The open house will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Thornton Community Center, located at 2211 Eppinger Blvd., Thornton, CO 80229. Attendees are invited to participate at any time during the two-hour event.
A light meal will be served, and children’s activities will be available.
Display boards will outline proposed transportation improvements for the corridor. Community members are encouraged to share their ideas about the project, including suggestions for transit enhancements. CDOT staff will be available to engage with the public and collect feedback. Comments can also be submitted by email, via a hotline, or through a comment form during the meeting or online.
All materials presented at the open house, along with an online survey, will be posted on the project website after the event.
The project area covers I-25 from US 36 to 104th Avenue and includes the nearby communities of Northglenn, Thornton, Federal Heights, and unincorporated Adams County.
