Candace V., a retired woman, won $10,000 on a $10 Monopoly Secret Vault Scratch ticket while visiting Cedaredge. She purchased the ticket at Go-fer Foods on 915 S. Grand Mesa Dr. after her friend had already bought the tickets she initially wanted. Instead, she selected three tickets at random, one of which turned out to be a winner.

According to Candace, “I was shocked when I realized I’d hit my biggest win yet.” She said she plans to use the prize money to pay some bills and enjoy herself a bit.

The win occurred during a casual visit to see friends in Cedaredge, and Candace mentioned her enjoyment of playing Scratch games.
