The City of Durango announced on April 17 the schedule of public meetings planned for the week beginning April 20, 2026. The city provided details about dates, times, and locations for a variety of meetings involving city officials and community boards.
These meetings allow residents to participate in local government activities and stay informed about ongoing projects and decisions that may affect them. Agendas and minutes are available at DurangoCo.Gov/Meetings, and residents can sign up to receive automatic updates through DurangoCo.Gov/NotifyMe.
On Monday, April 20 at 2:30 p.m., there will be a joint meeting between the La Plata Board of County Commissioners and the Durango City Council at the La Plata County Administration Building. On Tuesday, April 21 at 5:30 p.m., a City Council Meeting will take place both virtually and in person at City Hall. Public comments can be sent to PublicComment@durangoco.gov.
Wednesday features several events: Councilor Woodruff’s office hours begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Durango Public Library; Emergency Telephone Service Association Quarter 1 Board Meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.; Old Hire Fire Pension Fund Meeting follows at 3:00 p.m.; Old Hire Police Pension Fund Meeting starts at 3:30 p.m.; and the Historic Preservation Board meets at 4:30 p.m. Community members can send comments regarding historic preservation issues to Planning@durangoco.gov.
Thursday includes two hybrid meetings starting at 4:00 p.m.: a Community Development Commission Study Session as well as a CO 150 / US 250 Joint Meeting—both held in rooms within the building located on East 12th Street. No official city meetings are scheduled for Friday, April 24.
A preliminary schedule is also available for the following week with notable events such as an Engage Durango Forum focusing on recycling, composting, and water conservation set for Tuesday, April 28.
