The Colorado Department of Agriculture has released the 2025 Colorado Hay Directory, designed to assist livestock owners in finding alfalfa, grass, mixed, and other types of hay. The directory is organized by region and provides details on the type and quantity of hay available, bale specifications, laboratory analysis availability, certified weed-free status, and identification of organic hay.

“In the world of agriculture, efficiency and strong networks are key, and that’s precisely what the Colorado Hay Directory offers our producers,” said Danielle Trotta, senior marketing specialist for the Colorado Department of Agriculture. “By connecting buyers and sellers directly, we are not only facilitating transactions but also strengthening the vital relationships that underpin Colorado’s agricultural economy.”

The 2025 edition lists both hay producers and brokers as well as businesses offering related products and services. The publication is a collaborative effort between the Colorado Department of Agriculture, participating hay producers across the state, Colorado State University Extension, Esh Ranch, Hay Bale Banners LLC, JC Farms, and KeyAg.

The directory is accessible online at ag.colorado.gov/markets. Livestock owners can request a printed copy or obtain more information by contacting the Colorado Department of Agriculture at 303-869-9175 or emailing Loretta.Lopez@state.co.us.
