The Colorado Department of Transportation announced on Mar. 18 that it has completed a resurfacing project along Colorado Highway 115 in El Paso County. The work covered six miles from Nelson Boulevard at Fort Carson Gate 1 to Brookside Street, just south of Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs.
This section of highway is important for local residents and commuters who use the route daily. The improvements are expected to make travel smoother and safer for both motorists and pedestrians throughout the area.
“This busy section of CO 115 is essential to local residents and commuters,” said CDOT Region Transportation Director Shane Ferguson. “Motorists and pedestrians can now expect significantly smoother pavement and enhanced safety throughout the project zone.”
