Colorado Lottery appoints David Aldag as Deputy Senior Director

David Aldag has been appointed as the new Deputy Senior Director at the Colorado Lottery. Aldag previously served as the organization’s budget manager for six years, where he was responsible for budget development, sales analysis, and fiscal strategy. In this role, he worked with various departments to support the Lottery’s growth.

Aldag’s professional background includes ten years as executive operations director at a large ophthalmic and optometry practice, overseeing close to 100 employees across multiple clinics and a surgery center. He also held the position of chief financial officer for an early-stage company focused on HIPAA release technology and served in several leadership roles in the health insurance industry, including vice president of medical economics. Additionally, Aldag practiced accounting for seven years and is a certified public accountant.

Outside of his work at the Lottery, Aldag participates in outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, skiing, coaching baseball at Conifer High School, and playing on an adult baseball team.

He stated that he is proud to work at the Lottery and contribute to investments that protect Colorado’s parks, trails, rivers, wildlife, and open spaces.
