The Colorado Lottery has announced that it has surpassed $4.5 billion in proceeds dedicated to preserving the state’s natural environments. The organization highlighted the important role of coyotes, which are native to Colorado and can be found throughout the state, from alpine forests and plains to suburban areas. Coyotes are considered “keystone” predators and contribute significantly to maintaining balance within local ecosystems.

In a statement, the Lottery said, “As the Lottery surpasses $4.5 billion in proceeds dedicated to preserving our magnificent outdoors, may the wonder of winter inspire peace.”

This milestone reflects ongoing efforts by the Colorado Lottery to support conservation projects across various landscapes in Colorado.
