Organizers are preparing for the 153rd Colorado State Fair, which opens tomorrow and runs through Labor Day, September 1. The event is expected to draw about half a million visitors over its 11-day run.

This year’s fair will offer a range of activities, including livestock competitions by 4-H and FFA, concerts, the Centennial Farms and Ranches ceremony, amusement rides, the PRCA Rodeo, a monster truck show, and other events.

“We’re thrilled to welcome everyone to the 2025 Colorado State Fair! It’s a time-honored tradition that brings our communities together to celebrate agriculture, enjoy incredible entertainment, and make lasting memories,” said Andrea Wiesenmeyer, general manager of the Colorado State Fair. “We can’t wait for the gates to open tomorrow and see the joy on everyone’s faces as they experience all the excitement the fair has to offer.”

On Fridays during the fair—August 22 and August 29—food vendors will offer $5 menu items until 5:00 p.m. There will also be options for healthier or lower-priced food items at $8 or less.

General admission includes access to more than $250,000 worth of free attractions such as Olympic-level high divers at the All-American High Dive show and Swifty Swine Racing Pigs presented by Black Hills Energy.

Children can visit “Ag-Venture Land,” an area with an inflatable corn maze, a magic show called Magic Bean, a Kids Pedal Tractor Pull event, and a petting farm.

Live music will take place on several stages throughout the fairgrounds. Scheduled performers include Wild Love Tigress (funk), Those Crazy Nights (Journey tribute), The Martini Shot, Triple Nickel, and Pueblo native Cody Cozz who will close out the free music lineup on September 1.

The Big R Arena will host three nights of PRCA Rodeo featuring Cooper Alan, Lee Brice, and Clay Walker. The traditional Ranch Rodeo with Ned Ledoux is also scheduled; both events are included in admission on One Price Wednesday.

The Southwest Motors Events Center’s lineup includes Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias; My Generation Tour starring The Lovin’ Spoonful; Gary Lewis & the Playboys; The Hollies Greatest Hits with Terry Sylvester; Flo Rida with Chamillionaire; Russell Dickerson with Drew Green; and Cheap Trick presented by Colorado Lottery.

Other returning events include World Slopper Eating Championship, Governor’s Plate competition featuring food trucks using Colorado Proud ingredients, Toughest Monster Truck Tour, Demolition Derby, Junior Breeding Heifer Show, and Master Showmanship Competition.

Fiesta Day on Sunday August 31 celebrates Colorado’s Hispanic heritage with Celebracion de los Charros featuring Los Huracanes del Norte in concert along with other performances throughout the day.

Discounts are available most days of the fair.
