The Colorado volleyball team finished its spring season last weekend, completing a series of five scrimmages designed to prepare the roster for the upcoming 2026 campaign, according to an April 22 announcement.
The conclusion of the spring schedule marks a key step in the team’s preparation for next season. The Buffs focused on development and integrating new players while facing a range of in-state opponents.
Spring play began on March 28 in Greeley, where Colorado played back-to-back matches against Northern Colorado and Wyoming. This doubleheader provided early experience for some freshmen and tested the team’s endurance. On April 4, Colorado hosted Colorado State at home, using the opportunity to try different rotations and build chemistry before fans.
The final matches took place on April 18 in Fort Collins, where the Buffs played two scrimmages against Denver and CSU. The same-day competition was intended to simulate regular-season intensity. Throughout all five scrimmages, coaches emphasized growth by focusing on consistency, communication, and competitive toughness across every position.
With spring activities concluded, Colorado will shift its focus to offseason training while preparing for two more freshmen joining in the fall. The team is also looking ahead to its recently released Big 12 schedule for 2026.
