The Colorado women’s basketball team announced on April 14 the addition of transfer guard Aniya’ Foy, a rising sophomore from Katy, Texas. Foy joins the Buffaloes after playing her freshman season at Kansas State.

Foy played in 36 games during the 2025-26 season for Kansas State, averaging 13.3 minutes, 4.3 points, and 2.1 rebounds per game. She contributed significantly in the Big 12 tournament with standout performances against Texas Tech and Oklahoma State.

“We’re excited to add Aniya’ to our program,” head coach JR Payne said. “She’s a competitor with great instincts and a very high ceiling — her game and mindset fit perfectly with our culture.”

During her freshman year, Foy scored double-digit points three times and had five or more rebounds in four games. She made her collegiate debut against Omaha on Nov. 3, scoring 13 points while adding four steals and three rebounds. Over the season she shot nearly 36% from the field and achieved shooting percentages of at least 60% six times.

Foy was recognized as a McDonald’s All-American Game nominee out of Cinco Ranch High School, where she set school records for single-game (42) and single-season (694) points scored during the 2023-24 campaign.

Colorado has also confirmed several returning players amid transfer portal changes: Zyanna Walker, Jade Crook, Kennedy Sanders, Maeve McErlane, Sophie Zadel, and Claire O’Connor will all be back next season.

The Buffaloes finished their recent campaign with an NCAA Tournament appearance—their seventeenth overall—falling to Illinois in the first round after finishing sixth in the Big 12 conference with an overall record of 22-12.
