Former University of Denver men’s lacrosse players made significant contributions during the final weekend of the 2026 National Lacrosse League (NLL) regular season, according to an April 21 report.
The performances highlight the ongoing impact that Denver alumni have across professional lacrosse teams in North America as they help their squads secure playoff spots and close out the season.
San Diego clinched a playoff berth with a 14-12 win over Las Vegas. Wes Berg scored two goals, Trevor Baptiste won 21 out of 30 faceoffs, and Danny Logan collected 12 loose balls for San Diego. Halifax also secured its postseason position by defeating Ottawa, with Casey Wilson providing two assists. Alex Simmons registered one goal and six assists for Oshawa in their victory over Buffalo, while Ethan Walker added three points.
In another matchup, Jack Hannah and Tyler Pace each recorded five-point games as Calgary edged Colorado. Pace scored the decisive goal late in the game, while Hannah completed his hat trick but could not bring Colorado level before time expired. Richie Connell ended Georgia’s regular season with four goals and an assist during a win against Rochester.
The upcoming NLL playoffs will feature several former Denver players representing different teams. Matchups include Halifax facing Vancouver on April 24; Buffalo playing Georgia on April 25; Toronto meeting Saskatchewan; and San Diego taking on Colorado later that evening.
Looking ahead at the collegiate level, Denver is set to host Marquette on Senior Night this Saturday at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. The game will be available via ESPN+ and local radio.
