The University of Denver men’s tennis team secured its third consecutive Summit League title with a 4-0 victory over North Dakota in the championship match at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on April 25.

This win marks Denver’s eighth overall Summit League championship and comes during its final season as a member of the league. The Pioneers are set to join the West Coast Conference on July 1, 2026.

In doubles play, Denver earned an early lead by winning matches on courts two and three. Senior Raffaello Papajcik and freshman Aaron Beduhn achieved a dominant 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles. Shortly after, senior Ryoma Mishiro and sophomore Samuel Rovai clinched the doubles point for Denver with their sixth such victory this season. Graduate student Connor Robb-Wilcox and sophomore Theo Coats were leading their match when play was halted due to the overall result being decided.

During singles competition, Beduhn secured his eighth consecutive singles win from the No. 6 position, dropping only three games in total during his match. Robb-Wilcox followed with another strong performance to give Denver a commanding lead before Mishiro closed out the match by winning both sets against his opponent, clinching the championship for his team.

Several matches went unfinished as Denver reached four points needed for victory before all contests concluded. Papajcik was ahead after taking a first-set tiebreaker while Coats also led in his second set when play stopped.

With this result, Denver earns an automatic berth into the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Championship and will await its official selection during the NCAA Selection Show scheduled for April 27.
