Denver women’s golf team in third after two rounds at Summit League Championship

The University of Denver women’s golf team finished the second round of the Summit League Championship on Apr. 27 in third place at Longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Arizona.

This standing places Denver within reach of the leaders as they head into the final round. South Dakota State currently leads with a score of 16-over par, followed by Oral Roberts at 27-over, while Denver is close behind at 32-over.

Anna Neumayer is tied for fifth individually after posting rounds of 73 and 75 for a total score of six over par. Kaitlin Zingler sits tied for tenth with scores of 75 in both rounds, totaling eight over par. Maren Farbu is tied for twelfth after shooting a combined nine over par across her two rounds. Holly Hamilton and Raegan Capizzi are also contributing to the team’s efforts.

The course setup features a par-71 layout measuring just over 6,100 yards. The final round will begin Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. Mountain Time.
