Alicia C., a longtime lottery player, won $30,000 after purchasing a 5 Hearts Scratch ticket at the Safeway located at 8134 Colorado Blvd. in Firestone, Colorado. Alicia, who has been playing the lottery for 15 years and enjoys games such as Lotto+, Mega Millions, Powerball, and Scratch tickets, said her initial reaction to winning was simply feeling happy.

Now retired, Alicia shared that she does not plan to spend her winnings immediately but instead intends to save and invest the money. “With no rush to splurge, she plans to save and invest her winnings,” according to the Colorado Lottery.

The win came during an ordinary stop for coffee.
