FOIA Request to Colorado Community College System regarding state community college employee compensation data, FY 2025 on December 4, 2025.

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted by Centennial State News to the Colorado Community College System on December 4, 2025. The request seeks comprehensive records of employee compensation for all individuals employed by the community colleges during Fiscal Year 2025. This request is made under the Colorado Open Records Act § 24-72-201 et seq., with a preference for receiving the information in electronic format.

The specific data fields requested include: Employee Name, Employee Gender (if recorded), Employee Age or Year of Birth (if not exempt), Employee Date of Birth (if not exempt or if limited to month/year), College Name, Employee Department, Employer Name, Employee Title or Position, Employee Hire Date, Employee Compensation Amount (base pay and any additional pay), Employee Compensation Type (e.g., salary, hourly, stipend, bonus), and Employment Type (full-time or part-time).

As members of the media committed to providing transparency and holding public institutions accountable, we have requested a fee waiver due to our role in disseminating information to the public. The requestor is affiliated with The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy, a non-profit organization that assists media companies and advocacy groups in investigating governmental agencies using Freedom of Information and Sunshine Laws.
