FOIA Request to University of Colorado Boulder regarding public university FY 2024 employee salaries on December 5, 2025.

Centennial State News has submitted a formal request under the Colorado Open Records Act to the University of Colorado Boulder. The request seeks detailed records concerning employee compensation for all individuals employed by the university during Fiscal Year 2024. The requested information includes data fields such as fiscal year, employee name, gender, age or year of birth, date of birth, employer name, title or position, department, hire date, compensation amount and type, and employment type.

The request emphasizes that while not all fields may be present in every record, Centennial State News is interested in obtaining all responsive records. If any part of a record is deemed exempt from disclosure, they ask that non-exempt portions be released in redacted form rather than withheld entirely.

As members of the media committed to transparency and accountability in public institutions, Centennial State News seeks this information to fulfill their professional responsibilities. They have also requested a fee waiver based on their role in disseminating news to the public.

This request is supported by The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy, a non-profit organization dedicated to investigating governmental agencies and promoting transparency through Freedom of Information and Sunshine Laws. More information about the coalition can be found at https://stopsecrecy.org/about/.

Our team will continue to keep you updated as we gather and report news related to this request and other matters of public interest. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification regarding this matter.
