University of Denver men’s lacrosse sophomore goalie Grayson Manning was named to the Inside Lacrosse Media All-America Second Team, according to a May 9 announcement from the publication.
Manning’s recognition comes after a standout season in which he broke Denver’s single-season saves record with 188, surpassing Jamie Faus’ previous mark set during the Pioneers’ 2011 campaign. He was also a nominee for the 2026 Tewaaraton Award and earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year honors. During the regular season, Manning led all NCAA goalies in save percentage and enters this weekend’s NCAA First Round ranked second nationally in save percentage at .610, fifth in saves per game with an average of 13.43, and tenth in goals against average at 8.93.
Throughout the season, Manning was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week six times and recorded double-digit saves in every game where he faced at least ten shots on goal. His career-high performance came during an 8-7 win at Utah in February when he made 20 saves—a total that tied for second most by a Pioneer goalie in a Division I game—and earned him Lacrosse Network National Player of the Week honors. He finished eight games this year with a save percentage of sixty percent or better.
On Friday prior to this announcement, Manning received Honorable Mention All-American status from USA Lacrosse. The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association is expected to announce its own All-Americans before Championship Weekend.
Manning’s achievements highlight his growing role as one of college lacrosse’s top goalkeepers and reflect both his individual development and Denver’s continued prominence within NCAA men’s lacrosse.
