To support ongoing construction at the Interstate 25 and US Highway 50B Interchange, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and its contractor SEMA Construction will implement overnight closures on I-25. These closures are necessary to safely demolish the existing US 50B bridge over I-25 in Pueblo.
Access at the interchange is currently limited to northbound I-25 on- and off-ramps until major project milestones are completed. CDOT advises drivers to use CO 47 for access between US 50B and I-25 during this period.
Shane Ferguson, CDOT Regional Transportation Director, stated: “Removal of the US 50B bridge over I-25 is integral to advancing the I-25/US 50B interchange project. The closures are required to ensure the safety of work crews and the traveling public.”
Starting November 7, southbound travelers on I-25 will be directed to exit at CO 47 (Exit 101), continue along CO 96, then use Santa Fe Avenue and 13th Street (Exit 99B) to rejoin southbound I-25. Northbound drivers should take the off-ramp onto eastbound US 50B (Exit 100A), then follow CO 47 (Exit 318) back onto northbound I-25.
