The Colorado Department of Transportation announced on Apr. 15 that overnight lane and full closures will continue this week and weekend on northbound Colorado Highway 157 (Foothills Parkway) at Pearl Street in Boulder as crews work to remove and replace concrete panels.

The closures are necessary to ensure the safety of motorists and workers while reducing the overall duration of traffic impacts. The department said drivers should expect up to 15-minute delays during the closure periods, with alternate routes encouraged over the weekend to avoid congestion.

According to the release, northbound CO 157 will be reduced to a single lane on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with the Pearl Street on-ramp closed during these hours. Detours will direct motorists via Pearl Street west to 30th Street or east to 55th Street, then north to Valmont Street before re-entering CO 157. No daytime impacts are expected Wednesday through Friday.

A full closure of northbound CO 157 at Pearl Street is scheduled from Friday, April 17 at 9 p.m. through Sunday morning, April 19 at 4 a.m., with traffic detoured off CO 157 at the Pearl Street exit before re-entering via the northbound on-ramp. Southbound lanes will remain open throughout this period. From Sunday morning through Monday evening, one lane will remain open until early Monday morning; however, ramp closures and detours will persist until Monday evening.

Uniformed traffic control officers will be present onsite for assistance with traffic flow during construction activities. Motorists are reminded by officials to slow down near work zones and maintain safe distances around workers and equipment.
