Northern Colorado men’s golf will travel to Goodyear, Arizona, for the Big Sky Conference Championship at Wigwam Golf Resort, according to an April 25 announcement. The three-day tournament will feature six teams competing for both the conference title and individual honors.
The event is significant as it marks the postseason play for Northern Colorado, giving the team a chance to build on recent successes and vie for top conference recognition. The Bears enter the championship with momentum after securing a team victory at the Shark Invitational by winning a sudden-death playoff against Bryant.
Individually, Kaelen Dulany has made notable contributions this season. He won the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational in September, which was Northern Colorado’s first individual win since 2022. Dulany also recorded a final-round score of 64—tying for third-lowest in program history—and posted a total score of 202 over three rounds, ranking second all-time for the school. Cooper Tate had a standout season as well with a runner-up finish at the Bluejay Invitational and shot a round of 66 that tied him for seventh-lowest single round in program history.
The teams participating alongside Northern Colorado are Sacramento State, Eastern Washington, Weber State, Idaho, and Francis Marion. The lineup representing UNC includes Kaelen Dulany, Cooper Tate, Thomas Barnes Grimes, Matias Koropeski, Tommie Clark with Talan Gover listed as substitute.
Fans can follow live scoring via Scoreboard and get updates through UNC men’s golf social media channels throughout the tournament. Looking ahead to postseason play after their regular-season finale win, Northern Colorado aims to deliver consistent performances while seeking both team and individual accolades.
