Northern Colorado women’s golf team is in second place after the first two rounds of the Big Sky Conference Championship, according to an April 21 update from the program. The Bears have a combined score of 570 (284-286) through 36 holes and remain close behind leader Northern Arizona.
The team’s strong position puts them in contention for the conference title as they head into the final round. Their performance has been marked by balanced scoring and a standout effort from Jaci Hartman.
Hartman delivered one of the top rounds on day two with a 4-under-par 67, moving her tournament total to 140 (-2) and placing her second individually. Olivia Salonek continued her consistent play, recording even-par scores in both rounds to tie for fifth at 142 (E). Samantha Colombine contributed with a round-two score of 74 and is tied for seventh overall at 143 (+1). Timbre Shehee (145, +3) and Carolina Fallotico (148, +6) completed Northern Colorado’s scoring lineup.
The team leaderboard shows Northern Arizona leading with a total score of 565 (-3), followed by Northern Colorado at +2. Montana State, Sacramento State, Idaho, Portland State, Idaho State, Weber State, Eastern Washington, and Montana round out the standings.
With only one round left to play, Northern Colorado will aim to build on Hartman’s momentum as they make their final push for the championship title. The outcome will be decided after tomorrow’s concluding round.
