Overnight lane and ramp closures are planned this week on Interstate 25 in Lone Tree as part of the ongoing mobility hub construction. The closures will affect both northbound and southbound lanes at different times, with all lanes scheduled to reopen before the morning commute.

Crews will install permanent barriers and re-stripe interstate lanes to prepare for the construction of a pedestrian bridge over I-25. Drivers are advised to follow posted speed limits, maintain safe distances, and be alert for workers and equipment in the area.

The schedule was updated due to recent rain. On Wednesday night, September 24, triple lane closures will take place on northbound I-25 between Castle Pines Parkway and Ridgegate Parkway. The first lane will close at 6 p.m., followed by additional closures at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., reducing traffic to one lane. The northbound off-ramp to Lincoln Avenue and the westbound Ridgegate Parkway on-ramp to northbound I-25 will close at 10 p.m., with detours provided via East County Line Road and South Peoria Street. Speeds in this section will be reduced to 65 MPH. All affected lanes and ramps are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. Thursday.

On Thursday night, September 25, double lane closures are scheduled for southbound I-25 from C-470 to Ridgegate Parkway starting at 7 p.m., narrowing traffic down to a single lane by 8 p.m. Both Lincoln Avenue on-ramps to southbound I-25 will also close; detours will direct drivers east on South Peoria Street then south on Ridgegate Parkway before returning westward onto the interstate. Speed limits in this area will drop to 55 MPH during work hours, with full reopening anticipated by 6 a.m. Friday.

Additionally, both directions of I-25 may see further impacts Sunday night, September 28, as crews continue re-striping lanes into new configurations for upcoming median work.

Motorists traveling through Lone Tree should expect delays throughout these periods as the Colorado Department of Transportation continues its project preparations.
