The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and SEMA Construction, Inc. will implement overnight lane closures on Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs as part of the I-25 Acceleration/Deceleration Lanes Project. The closures are scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, to facilitate girder installation on the bridge over Ellston Street between Mile Point 144 near Fillmore Street and Mile Point 146 near Garden of the Gods Road.

On September 2, northbound I-25 will see a right lane closure from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Additionally, both the right and middle lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., reducing traffic to one lane during those hours. All lanes are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3.

Sinton Trail at Ellston Street under I-25 will also be closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. CDOT noted that all work is weather-dependent and subject to change.

For more details about the project, residents can visit the project website, call the information hotline at 719-219-9815, or email [email protected]. Those interested in receiving updates via text can register by texting IMPACTS to 844-591-9901.
