Centennial issued the following announcement on June 12.

Although parks, playgrounds and pools are opening, Centennial Center Park, including the splash pad, remain closed. The latest Safer at Home order allows the opening of playgrounds and outdoor sports facilities with a limit of no more than 25 people at a time and individuals must stay at least 6 feet apart. Additionally, high touch areas are to be cleaned and disinfected frequently. Unfortunately, due to the park being a regional destination with several hundred people visiting each day in the summer, the City of Centennial does not have the capacity to adhere to these requirements. Therefore, to continue to do what we can to keep our community safe and healthy, the difficult decision has been made to keep Centennial Center Park closed indefinitely. If you previously made a park reservation, please note the City may cancel your reservation.

The City continues to work closely with Tri-County Health and adheres to their recommended safety practices.

Centennial encourages everyone to stay safe and follow the guidelines established by the State for public gatherings, social distancing, etc.
