Boulder County Jews again showed their flexibility as a good crowd showed up two nights “early” at Winterskate in Louisville for a rescheduled “Chanukah on Ice” Tuesday night.
Given the latest forecast for truly frigid weather on the originally scheduled Thursday night, Boulder County Center for Judaism and the Boulder JCC jointly decided to shift the Louisville Grand Menorah lighting event up to tonight, and the community responded.
Sheryl Buchman and her son did the lighting honors, with Buckman thanking the community for its outpouring of support for her and other Marshall Fire victims that has lasted almost a year and counting.
As usual, there were plenty of sufganyot, hot chocolate and Chanukah gloves on offer for the many celebrants.
