Costly credit card processing fees continue to burden small businesses, impacting their ability to grow and remain competitive. The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in Colorado has expressed strong support for HB 1282, known as the Swipe Fee Fairness and Consumer Safeguards Act. This bipartisan legislation aims to shield small businesses and their employees from expensive swipe fees on sales tax and tips.

The NFIB is urging lawmakers to back this bill, emphasizing its potential benefits for employers looking to expand operations, increase wages, and maintain competitive costs.

"Ask your lawmaker today to support HB 1282!" the organization encourages.
