The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has announced that US Highway 6, west of Holyoke, will be closed overnight on September 4 and 5 for bridge reconstruction work. The closures are scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night to allow crews to set girders on the new bridge structure.

According to CDOT, the closure will affect US 385 at Mile Point 279, which is located west of US 385 and east of County Road 37. Detours will be in place for both directions of traffic. Westbound drivers on US 6 should turn left on County Road 35, right on County Road 24, then right on US 385 to reconnect with US 6 east of the closure. Eastbound drivers should turn right on US 385, left on County Road 24, and left again on County Road 35 to rejoin US 6 west of the closure.

CDOT notes that “the work schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change.”

Nighttime working hours for this project are Thursday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.

For more information about the project or construction updates, visit the project website or contact the project team by phone at 970-601-1114 or email at [email protected].
