Colorado College Athletics recently issued the following announcement.

Senior Josh Fry led the Colorado College men's track and field team with a fourth-place finish in the 1500-meter run at the Loper Twilight Meet Saturday in Kearney, Neb.

Fry, one of a handful of Tigers to compete at the meet, attempted to lower his best time of the season in the race, but finished with a time of 3:54.57. His best time of the season, an altitude adjusted time of 3:48.56 at the Air Force Twilight Open, is still ranked 22nd in Division III. The Top 20 qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.

Four Tigers ran the 5K on Saturday, with freshmen Walt Jones and Ayden Cherry, sophomore Lucaiah Smith-Miodownik and freshman Liam Mullen placed seventh, eighth, 10th and 11th, respectively.

Junior Leighton Graham finished 10th in the shot put and sophomore Aidan Santos was 12th in the 800.

On the women's side, sophomore Jane Mallach was second in the 5K with a time of 18:55.92, followed by freshman Britt Helgaas in third (19:11.21) and sophomore Lily Brazil in fifth (19:54.04).

The final meet of the season is the Last Chance Meet hosted by the University of Redlands on May 18-19.
