Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet thanked voters on Nov. 9 via Facebook after he won re-election over his Republican challenger, Joe O'Dea.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve Colorado for another term," he said in the statement. "I'm getting back to work today. To end childhood poverty. Protect the right to choose. Defend our democracy. And build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top."

Bennet scored 1,061,216 votes, or 55% of the ballot, defeating O'Dea, who received 824,838 votes, Libertarian challenger Brian Peotter, who received 29,952, T.J. Cole, received 11,698, and Frank Atwood, who received 8,710 votes, according to results posted by KKTV.

Bennet joined several legislators who asked the Armed Services Committee to include the Replacing Essential Passports and Licenses After Certain Emergencies (REPLACE) Act in the final 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). According to a post on Bennet's website, the REPLACE Act "would automatically waive replacement fees for critical documents lost in certain major disasters."

According to his Senate website, Bennet was first elected to the Senate in 2009 and "has focused on big challenges, including education, climate change, immigration, health care, and national security."
