The Colorado Springs Police Department is asking for help from the public in finding Leonor Enriquez, age 59.

Enriquez was last seen at about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the Incline Apartments at Sinton Road and Fillmore Street before she vanished from sight. She is described as a white female, 5 feet, 3 inches tall, 115 to 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

"She went to take the trash out and possibly take a walk around," Jessica Alvarado, Enriquez's daughter, told KRDO. "She's not known to be gone for a long amount of time. So I'm very, very concerned, very, very worried about her."

Alvarado mentioned that her mother was wearing a skirt and a maroon button-up T-shirt with a white shirt underneath. She probably also has a white purse.

Enriquez's family has been searching desperately for their mother. They even went on ATVs to investigate adjacent terrain.

According to her relatives, Enriquez is exceedingly amiable and would talk to anyone. However, she could become disoriented during conversations due to mental health issues, such as early onset dementia, bipolar disorder and depression.

"This is very unlike her," Alvarado said. "She doesn't have any friends, no money, no social media, no car, no phone. So it's very important that we get her name and face out to people that we don't know because possibly she met somebody that she didn't really know.”

Enriquez's family claims management has informed them that they cannot tell from the footage of the Incline Apartments' security cameras which way their mother went.

"It's horror not knowing where she is," Alvarado said.

Calling the CSPD at 719-444-7000 is the best way to contact anyone with information on Enriquez.
